How the scores work

Every review gets a score from 0 to 10. A movie's Scream Score is the average of all its reviews from our critics and contributors. Brain Sync shows how closely the critics agreed: the same score is 100%.

• 8+ A scream. Watch it with the lights off.
• 6+ Solid scares.
• 4+ Fine for a Tuesday.
• 0+ Dead on arrival.

Who's talking

Top Critics are the two of us (and anyone we let on the couch). Our reviews sit side by side on every movie page. Contributors add guest reviews underneath. Everyone else is the Audience, and the audience is always welcome to comment. Grab a seat.
